ABOUT US
Tektronik is a company that deals with the service of EAS (Electronic Article Surveillance) Sensormatic, WG, Shopguard, Checkpoint, audio and network equipment with over 20 years of experience.
The beginnings of the service were based on RF technology (radio, TV transmitters, microwave links and antenna systems).
With the arrival of the EAS protection system in Serbia, it was easy and interesting for us to add such equipment to the range of devices we are repairing.
In the mid-2000s, we met the demands of the market and completely switched to the service of Eas (antennas, deactivators, gate meters), network, audio and UPS (power supply) equipment.
E A S
Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) systems are designed to help retailers increase sales and protect their profits
by increasing the open possibilities of merchandise while reducing theft and internal theft
Electronic surveillance of items and goods is a technological method to prevent theft of products from stores or theft of books from libraries.
Special tags or stickers are fixed on goods or books. Officers remove tags when an item is properly purchased or checked out.
When they are not deactivated or removed at store exits, the detection system sounds an alarm, or otherwise alerts staff that the tags are active.
EAS – Repair of eas equipment
We are able to repair and service your EAS equipment according to the manufacturer’s standards at a very competitive price
with guaranteed fast diagnostics and repair, ensuring that the theft detection system is out of order as little as possible.
Types of EAS
The two most common types of electronic case monitoring systems:
Acousto-magnetic, also known as AM
Radio frequency also known as RF
Acoustic-magnetic systems AM
These magnetic tags are made of two strips, a strip of amorphous metal and a strip of ferromagnetic material.
These strips are not connected to each other, but can oscillate freely mechanically.
Tag active when the material is magnetized.
The detectors use a magnetic field of 58 kHz (or 66 kHz) which induces mechanical resonance by magnetic restriction.
When the excitation field is switched off, these marks continue to oscillate mechanically, which creates a magnetic signal due to the magnetized second band. This signal activates an alarm.
Deactivation is achieved by exposing the tags to a strong electromagnetic field.
AM tags are thicker than RF tags and are therefore rarely used for books.
The advantage of these systems is a good detection rate (less interference and false alarms)
Radio frequency systems RF
These tags are basically oscillatory circuits that have a peak resonance at 8.2 MHz or 1.8 MHz.
Sensitivity is achieved by moving around the resonant frequency and detecting dips.
Deactivation is achieved by exposing the tags to a strong electromagnetic field at a resonant frequency.
